BJ is a Board Certified Physician Assistant. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Wartburg College with major in Biology and minor in Athletic Training. Where she also was awarded as a participant of the Dean's List. She graduated from the Medical College of Georgia and has over 27 years of experience working with a wide variety of people and their medical issues. She also has a Master's Degree in Sport Medicine.
BJ holds the following licensures GAPA- Georgia Association Of Physician Assistants, AAPA-American Association of PA's, and she is Board Certified NCCPA- National Commission OF Certification for PA's.
Awards, Services, Honors
BJ graduated Cum Laude honors from medical school. BJ volunteers at Rock Springs Medical Clinic for uninsured patients. In addition, BJ participates in the Council for NP/PA.
Medical and Therapeutic Services
BJ brings a strong understanding of medication management to assist with individual needs and concerns to promote a healthy well-being for all ages. In addition, she has a special interest in girls, women and gifted students with ADD and ADHD issues.

BJ works closely with Dr. Nelson and our therapists to provide and individualized program for each person. Patients visiting BJ will receive a full range of psychiatric services. She sees children, adolescents and adults of all ages and provides initial psychiatric evaluation, medication management/review, cognitive therapy and general consultation.
BJ has been married for over 27 years to her husband Bryan. They have two children, Zachary and Ansley. She currently resides in Pike County and has a small farm with goats, chickens, horses and an oreo cow. Some of BJ's hobbies include quilting and crafting.
