Dr. Zainab Delawalla is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and joined Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals in May 2018. Dr. Delawalla earned a B.S. in Neuroscience & Behavioral Biology summa cum laude from Emory University in 2003, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Washington University in Saint Louis, MO in 2010. She completed her internship in Clinical Psychology as well as a two year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Polytrauma Neuropsychology at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Delawalla is licensed to practice as a psychologist in Georgia. She is a member of the Georgia Psychological Association.
Dr. Delawalla specializes in Neuropsychological Assessment and has extensive experience with mapping cognitive chnages related to:
- Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussion
- Attentional Disorders
- Age-related memory complaints and Dementing Disorders
- Seizure Disorder
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Brain Tumors
- Substance Abuse Disorders
- Oncological Treatments
Dr. Delawalla also provides psychotherapy for adults and young adults with a range of emotional concerns including anxiety, depression, attentional difficulties, as well as stress situations related to life transitions. Her treatment approach integrates cognitive-behavioral and solution focused therapies with the tenets of positive psychology.
Dr. Delawalla enjoys traveling, photography, and spending time with her husband and two children.
