Nadine Pope is a license clinical social worker. Nadine holds a Master's Degree of Social Work with emphasis on clinical practice and addiction.

Professional Development

Nadine has worked for many years at the Cobb Douglas Community Services Board as a Clinical Supervisor, social worker and volunteer since 2010.  In that capacity, she worked with the Women's Residential Substance Abuse Treatment program and in various other capacities.  She worked with Hope Homes in her internship and provided individual, follow-up counseling and crisis intervention to female clients with addictions and co-occurring disorders in a long-term residential recovery program.  Nadine also had experience at the Sober Living Foundation and C& T Counseling, LLC and conducted assessment/intake interviews; collaborated with clients in forming treatment plans; provided crises intervention and daily support related to life skills, and other substance abuse and mental health related issues in a residential treatment program for women.  Nadine has also facilitated alcohol/drug and anger management classes for men and women. Nadine is a member of the following affiliations:

  • National Association of Social Workers
  • NAADAC, the National Association for Addiction Professionals, and Georgia Addiction Counselors Association
  • Georgia Society of Clinical Social Workers (GSCSW)

Therapeutic Services

Nadine provides counseling services and facilitates a support group for TMS clients that have completed treatment. Much of Nadine's experience has been working with women in substance abuse treatment. She has been a clinical supervisor and provided assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, group facilitation, and case management for those with addictions, severe mental illness, and co-occurring disorders. She is particularly interested in working with veterans and others who have experienced trauma. Nadine has structured and facilitated trauma recovery groups for women and teens, parenting classes and life skills classes.

Fun Facts

Nadine is married with one son who is attending medical school. Nadine volunteers as a community organizer and is advocate for those with mental illness and other marginalized populations and facilitate local Asset-Based Community Development initiatives. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching, reading, and traveling.
