Education and Specialty
Lequawn James attended Newberry College from August to December 2012; graduated with a degree in Nursing and Biology, Magna Cum Laude and a minor in Spanish. He was an ER and Trauma nurse for five years at North Fulton Hospital and Emory Saint Joseph's ED. Lequawn graduated from South University August 2017 with a Masters in Nursing to be an Adult and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Magna Cum Laude. He joined the Georgia Behavioral Health Professionals group in January 2018.
Lequawn is board-certified by the American Associates of Nurse Practitioners since October 2017. He is a certified Adult and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. In February 2013, Lequawn is certified by the Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Lequawn is also certified in the following: Advanced Cardiac and Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, Incision and Drainage and Suturing, EKG Interpretation, and NIH Stroke Certified.
Awards, Service, Honors
Lequawn holds the following awards and service recognition: All American and First Team All-Conference Football player, Academic All-American, High-school wrestling state champion. Lequawn is member of American of Nurse Practitioners, member of National Nursing Honors Society, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society member. Lequawn was on Atlanta Falcons Practice squad in 2013, and he works as a volunteer with youth with in the Big Brother program.
Adolescent and Adult Medical Services
Lequawn is hardworking, on-time, organized, always positive and works well with others. His goal is to change lives one day at a time. Lequawn works closely with Dr. McNulty to provide the best quality of care treating patients age 12 years and older struggling with: Depression, ADD/ADHD, Bipolar, Mood Disorder, Dissociative Disorder and many more.
Lequawn has a fraternal twin brother born five minutes apart a 18 year old sister and a two year old nephew who lives in South Carolina. He is an inspiring bodybuilder and helps others lose weight through dieting, nutrition, and fitness. Lequawn is a huge lover of food, loves to cook, watch and play sports, enjoys going to amusement parks, visiting family in South Carolina, and working out at the local gym.
